About Bluffy Lake Lodge

Bluffy Lake Lodge History

Starting as a fly-in fishing camp in the 1940s, Bluffy Lake Lodge remained a small business and fly-in only until 1995. The increased cost of flying prompted the use of logging roads that come close to the lake. A short distance with ATV and trailer now transports you from your vehicle directly to your cabin (350 yards). This limited access gives us fly-in quality fishing at affordable drive-in rates, with some of the best Walleye and Northern fishing in the area.

With our ownership, Bluffy Lake Lodge will remain a small family-owned and operated resort with personal service—our number one priority. The package plans have been designed to give you a great vacation with the best opportunities for successful fishing and hunting.

Dean and Donna are always happy to answer your questions.

Current owners Dean and Donna de Neui are both from Waverly, Iowa, and have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Wanting to move to more water and hunting, they moved to Longville, Minnesota (Land of the Lakes) in 1993. In 2004, they bought an unfinished cottage northwest of Pickle Lake, Ontario, and enjoyed the great fishing that Canada has to offer. With fishing and hunting being a big part of their life, they decided to go the next step and own a camp. Both hosts will always try to meet the needs of individuals or groups, so if you have any requests or questions – just ask!
