About Bluffy Lake Lodge

Bluffy Lake Lodge

Starting as a fly-in fishing camp in the 1940s, Bluffy Lake Lodge remained a small business and fly-in only until 1995. The increased cost of flying prompted the use of logging roads that come close to the lake. A short distance with ATV and trailer now transports you from your vehicle directly to your cabin (350 yards). This limited access gives us fly-in quality fishing at affordable drive-in rates, with some of the best Walleye and Northern fishing in the area.

With our ownership, Bluffy Lake Lodge will remain a small family-owned and operated resort with personal service—our number one priority. The package plans have been designed to give you a great vacation with the best opportunities for successful fishing and hunting.

Dean and Donna de Neui live in Longville, Minnesota on 80 acres.  Longville is an hour north of Brainerd or half an hour from Walker (Leech Lake area).  We moved to Longville in 1993 from Waverly, Iowa.  Our previous jobs help us to run a camp and make your trip enjoyable.  We are proud of our two daughters, two sons, a daughter-in-law, married grandson and his wife (yes, we are that old), two more grandsons, and two granddaughters.  We also are proud to be great grandparents to three boys (yes, we are that old).  We also raise and sell Gordon Setter dogs.   We enjoy Bluffy Lake Lodge and have been making improvements yearly (except Covid year).  We have remodeled 3 cabins, built 5 new outhouses, 3 new storage buildings and dock access.  Just to name a few improvements.  We still have more improvements to keep us mentally and physically active.  We consider it "Get Buff at Bluffy".  We have been enjoying our time at Bluffy Lake and looking forward to many more years.
