We are getting ready for the Walleye opener. Dean and I are excited for the season to begin. The loons are making their appearance as well as many other birds. The Northern have been spawning in the backwater.
We had an exciting visit from an otter on the first trip up. We were raking and there was a skim of ice of the lake. Then heard a bang with a otter popping his head through the thin ice. He continued this up the shoreline.
We do have a few openings the first two weeks of opener if anyone is interested. Can’t wait to get on the lake as well. See you soon!
